One of the youngest Singaporean restaurant managers of a MICHELIN-Starred establishment, Samantha Goh, 26, oversees the operations of Saint Pierre. What started out as a string of part-time jobs in the F&B industry while pursuing her studies in Creative Writing for TV and New Media at Singapore Polytechnic has led to a rewarding hospitality career.
Samantha joined Saint Pierre as Chef de Rang in 2019. Nimble-witted and armed with determination, she rose to the position of restaurant manager within two and half years. During this time, she was given the opportunity to work at Shoukouwa Sushi Restaurant, another Two MICHELIN-Starred restaurant under the group, where she picked up the Japanese language and honed her service skills. To navigate the challenges of dine-in restrictions during the pandemic, Samantha led the front-of-the-house team to support Chef-Owner Emmanuel Stroobant and his wife Edina Hong when they launched Virtual Saint Pierre and Room Service by Saint Pierre.
A wine enthusiast, Samantha receives regular training from Master of Wine and Saint Pierre’s Wine Consultant Tan Ying Hsien, and is always on the lookout for ways to upgrade her skills and knowledge. Most importantly, she enjoys the meaningful conversations with her guests and attends to special requests and dietary restrictions with the utmost attention to detail. In the MICHELIN Guide 2022 Star Revelation, Samantha was laurelled with the inaugural Welcome and Service award.
During her free time, she enjoys playing video games, keeping up with current affairs and honing her photography skills.
